ECYC is the East Coast Yacht Club, part of the Civil Service Sailing Association (CSSA).

We sail on Freyja, a Najad 380, and offer low cost sailing opportunities to all public sector staff and their family and friends.

Join Us

Membership of ECYC is free to members of the Civil Service Sailing Association (CSSA). CSSA membership is also free to Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC) members. Membership is open to civil servants, NHS, local government, armed forces and other public service employees.

Sail With Us

We sail on Freyja, a high quality Najad 380, with experienced skippers who hold a minimum RYA Coastal Yachtmaster certificate. You can sail with us whatever your level of experience, from novice to experienced.

Train With Us

Freyja is an RYA Training Vessel and we offer courses leading to Competent Crew, Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper qualifications, giving access to Approved Skipper status for CSSA-affiliated yachts.
