Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC) Community Lottery Fund can offer some funding. Whilst most CSSC members can access a broad range of sport, leisure and recreational activities, some members face challenges because of financial restrictions or a disability. The Support Fund aims to provide some support to assist these members. It also supports Elite sports competitors who represent their nation at the highest level.
If you are a member of HASSRA (the sports and leisure association open to current and former staff working for the Department of Health & Social Care, Department for Work & Pensions, the Food Standards Agency and associated executive agencies and public bodies), they offer the HASSRA Development Fund (HDF) HASSRA Development Fund. The HDF is to help members achieve their best in their chosen activity and has funds to help overcome financial barriers to access activities and making progress. This is via an application process.
Members of the Inland Revenue Sports & Leisure club may also receive assistance for RYA courses undertaken with ECYC. Members are advised to contact their sailing section via the RCSL website for further details.
